Surescripts, Cigna and CVS Health to Tout Prescription Price Transparency and Interoperability Progress at HIMSS19

Feb. 11, 2019

Executives from Surescripts, Cigna and CVS Health will be presenting at HIMSS19 in Orlando to discuss improving healthcare by making prescription drug cost and benefit plan information available at the point of care.

Throughout the week, as part of the Interoperability Showcase on Feb. 12, and also at Surescripts Booth #6158, company leaders— Surescripts CEO Tom Skelton, Dr. Troyen Brennan, executive vice president and chief medical officer of CVS Health, and Dr. Steve Miller, chief clinical officer of Cigna—as well as customers will be on hand to discuss key issues facing healthcare providers and patients today.

“We’re pleased to be helping to elevate the conversation around prescription drug cost transparency and informed healthcare decision-making at this year’s HIMSS conference,” Dr. Brennan said in a statement. “The availability of member-specific drug cost information in the EHR points to a truly advanced prescribing experience that is helping to make medicines more accessible and affordable for consumers.”
