The annual conference of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), held at McCormick Place in Chicago, was as eventful as ever. Thanks to some recent policy changes from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, a repeal of the Sustainable Growth Rate, and the incoming push of population health management by healthcare organizations, there was plenty to talk about. The event also featured some notable speeches and big vendor news.
