Salesforce, Geneia launch app aimed at value-based care
Geneia, an analytic solutions and services announced its new partnership with Salesforce Health Cloud to better serve the needs of health plans, hospitals, providers, and employers transitioning to value-based care. The joint solution, which combines the Theon platform’s cost and quality analytic capabilities with Salesforce Health Cloud’s workflow, member engagement, and communication tools, was debuted at Dreamforce 2017. At the conference, Geneia CEO Mark Caron, FACHE, CHCIO, Chief Strategy Officer Heather Lavoie and Chief Technology Officer Fred Rahmanian presented alongside Salesforce Vice President of Health Cloud Rita Sharma.
Available on Health Cloud, the Theon platform drives repeatable improvements in health, quality, and financial outcomes. The Theon platform has helped customers do the following:
- Close care gaps and increase Medicare star ratings
- Reduce acute inpatient hospital admissions by up to 7.2%
- Lower emergency department visits by more than 8% and readmissions by more than 14%, and
- Reduce claims costs by 2%
Salesforce and Geneia will collaborate on product development, go-to-market strategy, and business development opportunities, and together will communicate the value and opportunity to key target audiences and market analysts. The Geneia app for Health Cloud will expand and enhance existing capabilities for health plans, providers, and employers. The Theon platform solution for population health management and member engagement is now available on Health Cloud.
