The Healthcare Innovation brand has once been recognized for editorial excellence by the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE), in its annual awards competition. The publication won a Silver Award for its “Top Ten Tech Trends” special section, winning an ASHPE in that category for the sixth year in a row for that section, which comprised the cover story package for the third-quarter issue of Healthcare Informatics, the publication’s name until the beginning of 2019.
The American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE) recognizes editorial excellence in the field of healthcare publishing. As the announcement from ASHPE noted, “This annual awards competition provides an opportunity for editors to measure their efforts against the very best the healthcare sector has to offer. You can be proud that your hard work has earned you this highly regarded honor.”
The team of editors who concepted and wrote the section was comprised of Editor-in-Chief Mark Hagland, Managing Editor Rajiv Leventhal, Associate Editor Heather Landi, and Senior Contributing Editor David Raths. That team had previously won gold, silver, and bronze awards in the same category, in the previous five years of the competition.
“We are thrilled to receive this award from the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors,” Editor-in-Chief Mark Hagland said, upon receiving the news of the award from ASHPE. “As we did under the banner of Healthcare Informatics, and now, under the banner of Healthcare Innovation, our team of editors is committed to consistently producing editorial content that can help healthcare leaders move forward both their organizations and the entire U.S. healthcare industry, as our industry shifts from a volume-based to a value-based payment and delivery system. And this section, every year, brings together the insights and perspectives of the most visionary and forward-thinking innovators in U.S. healthcare, to discuss the biggest trends impacting the industry. It will continue, as always, to be our mission to help our audience move forward during this time of transformative change.”
