Premier Hires New CIO upon Resignation of Senior Official Keith Figlioli

Premier, Inc., the Charlotte, N.C.-based healthcare alliance, has announced that Keith Figlioli, seven-year veteran as senior vice president of healthcare informatics at the organization, has resigned from his role.

As such, Premier has promoted Leigh Anderson to senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO), effective June 27. In his new role, Anderson will be responsible for the continued development and growth of the company’s enterprise-wide, cloud-based informatics business. He will report to Michael J. Alkire, chief operating officer.

Anderson will assume the responsibilities of Figlioli, who resigned from his position as senior vice president of healthcare informatics, effective June 27. Figlioli will serve in an executive consulting role through Aug. 31 to ensure a smooth transition, according to officials.

One of Anderson’s key initiatives will be the continued development and deployment of a scalable technology infrastructure which leverages Premier’s platforms. Anderson will also oversee the organization’s national strategy for real-time, end-to-end supply chain and enterprise resource planning, as well as data analytics development for Premier’s specialty pharmacy and population health management services, according to a press release. Anderson, who has more than two decades of informatics experience in corporate and provider settings, joined Premier in 2013. In his previous role as chief operating officer for information and technology services at Premier, Anderson ran the day-to-day operations of the informatics business.
