Johns Hopkins Health System Launches Population Health Company Illustra
Johns Hopkins Health System has launched a new company called Illustra Health, which offers a cloud-based solution built to support population health and value-based care.
Designed by Johns Hopkins veterans, Illustra says it turns complex data into clear, prioritized actions with proven impact on financial performance. The company says it offers strategic visibility, clinical alignment, and hands-on support to help healthcare organizations improve clinical and financial outcomes, succeeding in value-based care faster and with greater confidence.
The launch of Illustra Health builds on the institution's Johns Hopkins ACG System, which has provided risk adjustment and population health analytics to healthcare organizations worldwide for over three decades,
“Illustra is built for leaders tired of chasing data, implementing reactive strategies, and waiting months for results,” said Sarah Kachur, PharmD, M.B.A., president of Illustra Health, in a statement. “We give clinical and analytics teams an intelligence layer that tells them exactly where to focus—and support them with proven tools and guidance.”
Kachur has held leadership positions in software, clinical, finance and analytics teams, most recently as the executive director of population analytics, strategy and solutions and global leader of the Johns Hopkins ACG System business.
“Illustra Health exemplifies how Johns Hopkins' population health expertise can be precisely calibrated to address the evolving challenges in today's healthcare landscape,” says board chair and Johns Hopkins Health System President Kevin Sowers, in a statement. “By combining rigorous clinical methodologies with strategic practical actions, we're enabling organizations to achieve meaningful improvements in both patient outcomes and financial performance.”
