Earlier this month, Healthcare Innovation wrote about the expansion of a partnership between Texas-based Memorial Hermann Health System and Nashville-based Reimagine Care, which offers patients access to a team of clinical oncology specialists via text, phone and video to address symptom concerns and side effects of therapy. Now Reimagine Care is announcing a partnership with Tampa, Fla.-based Moffit Cancer Center.
Reimagine Care delivers real-time at home support for patients who are experiencing either symptoms of their disease or side effects of their treatment. Reimagine Care said it will provide 24/7, proactive, on-demand cancer care services to Moffitt patients virtually and at home, ensuring timely and personalized care to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
Reimagine Care CEO Dan Nardi told Healthcare Innovation that early clients included the University of Colorado. “We actually did a feasibility clinical study with them. We also are currently live with City of Hope, and then some community practices as well,” he said. “Our clients span everything from large, comprehensive cancer centers to health system community practices.”
"This partnership with Reimagine Care ensures that our patients receive seamless, comprehensive care, whether at the clinic or at home," said Tim Hembree, D.O., Ph.D., chief quality officer at Moffitt, in a statement. "Our collaboration enhances both outcomes and experience, helping patients receive the right care at the right time."
Moffitt hosts the CancerX initiative, a public-private partnership aligned with the Cancer Moonshot. It seeks to accelerate the development and implementation of innovative cancer treatments and care models. Reimagine Care is a founding member of CancerX, and says it shares this commitment and is focused on contributing to the initiative's ambitious goals. This is the first collaboration launched from the initiative’s accelerator program.
