Improving Workplace Safety and Patient Care in Behavioral Health
In 2023, Vail Health’s Behavioral Health clinic was successfully serving its community and expanding its offering to include additional specialized care. But, as their patient population became more complex, so did feelings around safety.
Staff began noticing an increase in incidents where they felt unsafe. Concerns were elevated to leadership, and a project was initiated to enhance safety within the clinic. Leaders decided to implement CrisisAlert, a wearable safety solution that would empower their staff to immediately and discreetly signal for help anytime they needed support.
Shortly after implementation, Vail Health noticed additional benefits surrounding continuity of care. The ability for a staff member to summon help while in session or when further clinical support was required improved the patient experience.
