The Farmington, Conn.-based Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission, a non-profit standards development organization and accrediting body, has posted new criteria for various accreditation programs including ones that address the new HIPAA [Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act] Omnibus Rule, and ones on cloud computing, health information exchange, and ePrescribing.

We encourage interested parties to review the published criteria and provide feedback for our committee and stakeholders to consider and implement as necessary.”
