The editors of Healthcare Informatics are once again proud to present the newest edition of our unique industry offering: the Healthcare Informatics 100, a compilation of the top health IT companies based on HIT revenues from the most recent fiscal year.
The Healthcare Informatics 100 provides a complete listing of the top 100 revenue-earning companies in the industry. Any company that can identify its U.S.-based HIT-based revenues is eligible to submit its figures. This year, we are releasing the 100 companies on the list not all at once, but in quartiles.
Companies ranked 76-100 will be made public on June 4; companies ranked 51-75 will be released on June 6; companies in the 26-50 range will be published on June 11; and the top 25 companies will be announced on June 13.
The Healthcare Informatics 100 includes complete vendor listings, in addition to more exclusive content that surrounds the list, such as: revenue breakdowns per product segment; year-over-year revenue comparison charts; key thought leader executives; markets served; major revenue sources; M&A activity from the previous year; and brief descriptions of the companies.
“More than just a list, the Healthcare Informatics 100 is an absolute indicator of which companies are solving issues in the U.S. healthcare industry - and doing it at scale”, said Rich Tomko, Vice President and Managing Director of Healthcare Informatics. “The more interesting part of this list is understanding exactly what issues they are solving and how”, continued Tomko.
Upon the release of the 2018 Healthcare Informatics 100, Healthcare Informatics Editor-in-Chief Mark Hagland further stated, “Publishing the Healthcare Informatics 100 has been a great privilege for us as an editorial team. This compendium was actually created back in 1992, by Bill Childs, the founder, editor and publisher of the magazine, and has become more robust and better-read over the years. We’re proud of our role in bringing the data and information in the Healthcare Informatics 100 to our audience of healthcare IT leaders, and to the industry as a whole.
As in past years, the editors of Healthcare Informatics are grateful to two market research organizations, Porter Research (Atlanta) and ST Advisors, LLC (San Francisco) for their support and collaboration in bringing together the research and validation of listings and revenues.
Thank you, and we hope you enjoy all of the new features in this year’s Healthcare Informatics 100 list.
