NEWS: Healthcare Informatics Receives Gold Award in Prestigious Healthcare Publishing Industry Awards Program
On May 1, the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors (ASHPE) announced the winners in its ASHPE 2013 Awards Competition, a prestigious annual industry awards competition. The team of editors at Healthcare Informatics, one of the leading publications in the healthcare IT leadership space, won the Gold Award (the association offers Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards in each of a number of categories) in the category “Best Online News Coverage,” for the HCI team’s coverage of the release of the Final Rule for Stage 2 of meaningful use under the HITECH (Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health) Act. The HCI editorial team’s coverage included an initial breaking-news story, a first industry reaction piece, an infograph on the Stage 2 final rule, a second industry reaction piece, and a podcast providing key takeaways from the rule.
