Once  again,  as  in  past  years,  we,  the  editors  of  Healthcare Informatics are proud to present the newest edition  of  our  unique  industry  offering:  the Healthcare Informatics 100, a compilation of the top health  IT  companies  based  on  HIT  revenues  from  the  most recent fiscal year.

The Healthcare Informatics 100 provides a complete listing of the top 100 revenue-earning companies in the industry. Any company that can identify its U.S.-based HIT-based revenues is eligible to submit its figures.  This year, we are releasing the 100 companies on the list not all at once, but in quartiles. Companies ranked 76-100 will be made public on May 16; companies ranked 51-75 will be released on May 19; companies in the 26-50 range will be published on May 20; and the top 25 companies will be announced on May 23.

What’s more, Healthcare Informatics is committed to recognizing the expert thought leaders who are propelling their companies to the top of the market. Many of The Healthcare Informatics 100 company listings feature videos of vendor executives answering questions about the most significant trends that are currently impacting the health IT landscape. These videos were done at the Healthcare Informatics booth at the HIMSS16 conference earlier this year in Las Vegas.

Also this year, vendors were asked to estimate the percentage of revenue earned in all of their product segments. This is something that has never been done in prior years. Both the product breakdowns and the thought leadership videos, in addition to much more exclusive content, can be seen online with each company’s listing, when it is published.

As in past years, we are grateful for the assistance of two market researchers in helping formulate the list, Porter Research (Atlanta) and ST Advisors, LLC (San Francisco).

Thank you, and we hope you enjoy all of the new features in this year’s Healthcare Informatics 100 list.
