A pair of Troy, Mich.-based companies merged this week, when HTC Global Services, which provides general IT software and services, got into the healthcare market with an acquisition of CareTech Solutions.
CareTech, a top 50 health IT vendor as ranked by the Healthcare Informatics 100 in 2014, outsourcing, a clinical help desk, remote systems monitoring for applications and infrastructure, IT security assessments and disaster recovery planning. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"CareTech and HTC share the same values, culture and commitment to customer service that helped rank CareTech as an industry leader,” stated Jim Giordano, CEO and President of CareTech, who will remain in this role. “I am confident that the combination of our two companies will further strengthen our value proposition, providing additional services for our customers and new opportunities for our employees.
