Jan. 15, 2010

Ottawa, ON – January 14, 2010 – Halogen Software today announced its award winning talent management solutions have been selected by St. Anthony’s Medical Center. The leading St. Louis-based healthcare system will use Halogen eAppraisal™ Healthcare and Halogen eSuccession™ to support its leadership excellence programs, which are designed to ensure patients have an outstanding patient experience. St. Anthony’s will deploy the talent management solutions organization-wide to more than 4,000 employees.

A recent Aberdeen Group benchmark study of more than 150 healthcare organizations in the United States cited performance management, succession planning and engagement as the highest priority areas within the healthcare market.   A well-respected medical center serving more than 225,000 patients each year, St. Anthony’s is focused on each of these areas, and will use the new talent management system to help make performance management and coaching a day-to-day priority, and to emphasize development with a talent pool driven model for succession planning.

“Leadership excellence is a key program within our organization –  it helps us ensure the highest levels of patient satisfaction and safety,” explained Kathy Mack, Director of HR, St. Anthony’s Medical Center. “Everyone clearly understands what is expected of them and our organizational values. The addition of the Halogen system will give us a framework to manage, track and measure our progress in these areas, and to introduce succession planning into our leadership excellence program.”

St. Anthony’s selection team chose Halogen as its talent management solution from a competitive field of vendors. The team was impressed with Halogen’s high level of customer satisfaction, its deep experience in the healthcare market, as well as product ease of use. The hospital will use the Halogen system to build a competency model to support leadership excellence.
