Creaform Buys InSpeck, World Leader in 3D Scanning of Human Body

LÉVIS, QC, Jan. 19 /CNW Telbec/ – Creaform is proud to announce the acquisition of InSpeck, a leader in 3D scanning of the human body.

“This acquisition consolidates our position as leader in 3D scanning, as well as our position in the medical, multimedia and entertainment, and 3D imagery sectors,” says Mr. Charles Mony, President with Creaform.

With headquarters in Montreal, InSpeck has been a leader in 3D scanning since 1994. Applications for InSpeck products include animation, special effects, medical imagery, research and electronic games. The scanners of the company are used everywhere in the world by major production and post-production companies. Clients include Sony Computer Entertainment America and Gentle Giant Studios, among others.

Following this transaction, all InSpeck activities will be integrated into those of Creaform.
