Feb. 5, 2010

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 4, 2010) – Arizona Regional Medical Center (ARMC) has selected Healthcare Management Systems, Inc.® (HMS) to provide hospital information system applications for its general acute hospital, located in Mesa, Ariz.

The HMS integrated clinical and financial system is an enterprise-wide technology solution implemented in more than 650 community hospitals across the United States and Puerto Rico. Brent Cope, chief executive officer of ARMC, said HMS’ familiarity with community hospitals was a deciding factor in the hospital’s decision.

“HMS provides hospital information system applications that are tailored for hospitals like ours. Based on my past experience with HMS, our hospital is getting an outstanding product that will be easy to incorporate into our systems, provide easy-to-access information and streamline our processes so we can be more efficient. Not only does HMS offer quality applications, the company’s support for their customers is outstanding. We know we have a true partner in HMS.”

Cope added that the hospital would begin to implement the new software package this month.
