MINNEAPOLIS and SALT LAKE CITY, January 28, 2010 – Charter Solutions, Inc., and Healthcare Quality Catalyst (HQC), LLC, today announced a strategic alliance to provide a unique combination of products and services offers to help healthcare organizations achieve quality improvements in less time and at a lower cost.

HQC will provide quality-improvement and data-warehouse architecture methodologies, products, and consulting services. Charter Solutions will provide consulting services for data-warehousing and business-intelligence-solution design and implementation, clinical-outcomes analysis, and clinical-process mapping.
“Charter Solutions provides technical expertise in areas such as project management, data warehousing, business intelligence and business analysis that complement HQC’s methodologies, strategies, products and services,” said Steven Barlow, HQC co-founder.
Two key HQC methodologies are the Adaptive Improvement FrameworkSM and Adaptive Data Warehouse MethodologySM. These approaches provide tools and techniques for implementing a strategy of system-wide quality improvement by appropriately leveraging an adaptive data warehouse.
Barlow and HQC co-founder Thomas Burton developed their expertise at Intermountain Healthcare, known as a world leader in healthcare quality and data warehousing.
