Gwinnett Health System Selects Revenue Cycle Solution

Feb. 18, 2010

ORLANDO – February 17, 2010 – The Kramer Group today announced that Gwinnett Health System, comprising a three hospital integrated delivery network in Lawrenceville, GA, selected  RQi enterprise™ (Registration Quality Improvement) , its web-based revenue cycle solution designed to detect and flag errors for correction during the registration process.

Knowing that less than five percent of registrations were reviewed each month for quality assurance, Gwinnett Health sought out an automated revenue cycle solution that would improve financial performance by ensuring 100 percent review of registrations.

“With RQi enterprise,™ we can positively impact our revenue cycle. The solution creates real-time dashboards so that patient access specialists get immediate feedback, both for themselves and their team,” said Cynamin Kinard, Patient Access Director at Gwinnett Health System.

During the evaluation process, Gwinnett Health System selected The Kramer Group’s RQi enterprise™ since the program supports both real-time and batch processing.  “Some solutions support only real-time processing, but that doesn’t really work in the real-world,” stressed Kinard. “Sometimes a patient access specialist can fix errors immediately, but when they are busy, we need to be able to fix errors later in the day.  The dual engine processing capability is a tremendous benefit and one of the major reasons why we went with the RQi enterprise™ solution.”

Gwinnett Health System will also use RQi enterprise™ to identify training needs by individual, area, or for all patient access specialists to help reduce the most common registration errors.  “We have found The Kramer Group to be very hands-on, knowledgeable and focused.  We have no doubt that they will hit the timeline and stay on track” noted Kinard.

RQi enterprise™ and RQi practice management™ are healthcare registration solutions that detect and flag registration and patient visit errors for correction upon admission and prior to discharge and billing. The RQi™ service line provides 100 percent data review for improved billing accuracy, improved employee accountability, instinctive workflow, and immediate feedback to the user. Each system is customized on site to ensure maximum performance and customer satisfaction.
