From NoMoreClipboard.com's NMC-MD portal, patients can create a personal health-record account, share demographic and clinical information, and send and receive secure messages relating to appointments, medication refills, billing questions and clinical questions. The portal helps physicians meet ARRA meaningful-use criteria, providing patients with electronic copies of health information and clinical summaries. For paper-based practices, PHR data can be delivered to an NMC-MD administrative portal on existing practice-specific registration forms. For practices with an EHR, the portal can deliver electronic patient information in a secure, interoperable format. The portal can retain the same visual identity as the existing practice Web site, building brand recognition.
