Ontario Systems Announces Strategic Alliance with State Collection Service

March 16, 2010

(Muncie, IN. –  March 16, 2010)Ontario Systems, a leading provider of accounts receivable and revenue cycle management solutions for collection and health care industries, announces a partnership with State Collection Service, Inc. (State), a nationally recognized firm focused on providing accounts receivable management and collections solutions to healthcare providers. With the partnership, State will utilize Ontario Systems’ Artiva Healthcare 5.0 platform to help expand their Extended Business Office (EBO) line and Revenue Cycle Outsourcing (RCO) business, ultimately enabling the company to offer healthcare organizations a full spectrum of infrastructure, application and business process solutions.

“Based on our extensive market research and experiences working with Ontario Systems since 1990, we know that Artiva Healthcare is the best solution available, enabling State to offer services that augment healthcare organizations’ in-house collection activities,” said Tom Haag, President and CEO, State Collection Service. “Artiva Healthcare enables us to not only eliminate costly IT development and improve insurance follow-up capabilities, but it also provides State with the technology to grow with our clients. This ultimately translates into us being able to offer a more integrated and innovative solution that best helps healthcare organizations meet their tactical and strategic objectives.”

With more than sixty years experience, State has implemented a range of business solutions designed to increase healthcare accounts receivables. To complement their traditional debt recovery services, State designed their Extended Business Office (EBO) line to help process accounts prior to write-off or referral to a third party collection agency. With this partnership, State will implement Ontario System’s Healthcare 5.0 platform, which provides functionality for pre-registration, third-party payer follow-up, self-pay, financial assistance and vendor management.

“Whether the need is a short-term, customized project or long-term revenue cycle outsourcing, combining State’s best-in-people with Ontario’s best-in-technology creates a powerful offering for healthcare organizations,” said Tony Reisz, CEO, Ontario Systems. “As hospitals become more concerned about revenues dropping, being understaffed or the backlogs that won’t go away, State Collection Service’s RCO enables them to reduce days outstanding, optimize efficiency and productivity, all while increasing cash collections. The partnership makes the most modern world-class business and IT infrastructure widely available, ultimately removing barriers for healthcare organizations of all sizes to adopt leading edge infrastructure for their business.”

Ontario Systems’ Artiva Healthcare is an integrated database extension that adds enhanced collection functionality to the hospital’s patient accounting system. This integration provides managers with the financial transparency they need to make better financial decisions, improve account representatives’ efficiency, and significantly reduce the losses and challenges associated with large volumes of complicated insurance and government claims.
