GE Healthcare and Capsule announce integration of proven connectivity solution

Andover, Mass., April 26, 2010 —Capsule, the leading provider of medical device connectivity, today announced it will work with GE Healthcare to integrate its proven connectivity solution with the GE Centricity Enterprise, Perinatal and Perioperative solution suites.

By incorporating Capsule’s Enterprise Device Connectivity Solution, featuring DataCaptor and the innovative Capsule Neuron platform, GE can offer the automated collection of electronic data from validated medical devices, inside or outside the GE family, into GE Centricity information systems. More importantly, they will be able to distribute the data across the continuum of care.

This relationship enhances an existing familiarity between the two brands, partnering to connect a number of perioperative sites across the country.
