FormFast presents free Webinar on avoiding contracting pitfalls

June 30, 2010

St. Louis, Missouri –June 29, 2010 – FormFast, a provider of enterprise work-flow solutions, today announced a free Webinar presenting common pitfalls healthcare executives encounter when purchasing and managing healthcare information technology (HIT) solutions. The session will feature Zachary L. Hammerman, an attorney specializing in intellectual property and technology transactions, who will provide an overview of technology procurement and vendor management best practices from a healthcare organization’s perspective.

Titled “Healthcare Information Technology: Taking Ownership of Contracts,” the Webinar will be held at 11 a.m. (CDT) Tuesday, July 13. It will offer recommendations and cautionary tales about performing vendor due diligence; conducting reference checks; weighing the pros and cons of software delivery models, including Software as a Service (Saas); negotiating vendor contracts; and securing appropriate implementation, maintenance and support commitments from the vendor.

HIPAA rules, security requirements, tight budgets and a chaotic regulatory climate have raised both concerns and enthusiasm around HIT tools. The presentation delivers an in-depth, real-world perspective on business, technology and legal issues that a healthcare organization should consider when investing in new electronic solutions.

Attendance for the Webinar is free and open to all interested individuals. All attendees will be eligible to participate in a drawing for an Apple iPad during the presentation.

Register for the Webinar at www.formfast.com/springwebinars.
