Health Resource Solutions implements ExpressMD

July 2, 2010

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ – June 29, 2010 – ExpressMD Solutions, a provider of remote patient monitoring systems and services for patients with chronic illnesses, today announced that Health Resource Solutions (HRS), a leading high-tech home health and rehabilitation care company in Chicago, selected Electronic House Call (EHC) as its next-generation remote patient-monitoring platform.

The Electronic House Call remote patient-monitoring solution enables homecare companies to monitor patients remotely. Many homecare companies use telehealth to manage patients with chronic diseases such as CHF, COPD, diabetes, hypertension and sleep apnea. The EHC system improves chronic illness care and reduces costs by delivering results to healthcare providers securely on the Web without in-person or emergency room visits. The EHC touch-screen unit delivers better continuity of care to specific patient segments such as the elderly, special needs or pediatric patients with chronic illnesses who require monitoring of medical conditions. Automated reminders increase patients’ compliance with care plans, diets, medication schedules and follow-up physician visits. And, while improving medical condition monitoring, EHC also provides patients with online disease management education. Care providers can view patient’s vital statistics and make adjustments to care plans online.
