Wellsoft EDIS goes live in the ED at Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital

Somerset, NJ – July 6, 2010 – Wellsoft Corporation announced today that Clarkson West Medical Center, a Wellsoft emergency department information system (EDIS) client since 2005, has chosen to use Wellsoft EDIS functionality to help achieve efficiencies in the ED as The Nebraska Medical Center transfers management of the ED to the Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital (NOH). NOH ED will serve more than 15,000 ED patients each year in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Wellsoft EDIS functionality that will continue to run at Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital’s ED includes patient tracking, registration tracking, triage documentation, nursing documentation, physician documentation, drug/drug and drug/allergy interaction checking, order tracking, results reporting, patient discharge instructions, prescriptions, drug dosing calculator, standard and custom reports, enhanced audit module and care plans module. Wellsoft EDIS will be integrated with NOH’s HIS, the Clarus Health Enterprise Information System.
