Division leadership of HealthPort forms TrustHCS

Springfield, MO, June 24, 2010:  On June 18, 2010, newly formed, privately held company, TrustHCS announced the purchase of HealthPort’s healthcare consulting services (HealthPort HCS) division. TrustHCS was formed by HealthPort HCS’s former leadership team Torrey Barnhouse, Jason Scarbrough and Cathy Brownfield, RHIA, CCS. TrustHCS will serve the health information management (HIM), coding, audit, cancer registry and revenue cycle integrity needs of healthcare providers nationwide.

The TrustHCS transition will be “business as usual” for the former consulting services division of HealthPort. Customers will have access to the same team, consultants and account managers they have worked with for years. TrustHCS will utilize HealthPort’s technology platform and capitalize on a fully integrated business partnership.

The firm’s mission is to effectively manage and protect the revenue integrity of healthcare providers by providing affordable, on-demand remote coding, coding compliance, audit, registry and education services.
