Wellsoft EDIS selected for Kingston General Hospital and Hotel Dieu Hospital

Somerset, NJ – July 13, 2010 – Wellsoft Corporation today announced that Kingston General Hospital (KGH) and Hotel Dieu Hospital (HDH) in Kingston, Ontario, Canada have selected its Emergency Department Information System (EDIS). KGH’s Emergency Department is southeastern Ontario’s regional trauma center and sees about 47,000 patients each year. Hotel Dieu Hospital’s Urgent Care Centre sees about 50,000 patients each year.

KGH and HDH will jointly implement Wellsoft EDIS since the Emergency Department at KGH and Urgent Care Centre at HDH share hospital information systems, physicians and information technology support.

Wellsoft EDIS for KGH and HDH will support CTAS and CEDIS requirements. Wellsoft EDIS features will include Patient Tracking, Registration Tracking, Order Entry & Results Reporting, Medication Reconciliation, Triage and Nursing Documentation, Physician Documentation, Patient Aftercare/Disposition Summaries and Prescriptions. HL7 Interfaces to hospital wide and ancillary systems include ADT, Bi-directional Laboratory and Radiology Orders and Inbound Laboratory and Radiology Results.
