ST. PAUL, Minn., Aug. 2, 2010 – Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced that Lakeview Health System has selected multiple enterprise software solutions, including Lawson Enterprise Financial Management, Supply Chain Management, Contract Management, and Budgeting and Planning suites. It also selected Lawson Time & Attendance and Scheduling modules as well as Lawson Business Intelligence. The community-focused healthcare organization will replace aging systems from multiple vendors to help streamline business management and help redirect resources toward patient care. Lawson Professional Services will lead the implementation project. The contract was signed during the fourth quarter of Lawson’s 2010 fiscal year, which ended May 31, 2010.

Lakeview is Minnesota’s second-oldest hospital. It has consistently ranked among the state’s best hospitals and is nationally recognized for orthopedic care. Lakeview is a private, non-profit hospital with 97 beds and employs 600 people. Based in Stillwater, Minn., the health system includes Lakeview Hospital, the Stillwater Medical Group and Lakeview Foundation.

Lakeview sought to replace aging and disparate business systems to help streamline business management. Specifically, the organization identified a need to optimize and standardize supply chain and materials management processes and improve key HR-related activities focused on staffing and scheduling. The new Lawson applications, including Lawson Business Intelligence, will help Lakeview gain a better view into key day-to-day business data, which will help facilitate better, faster decision making. Ultimately, Lakeview seeks improved efficiency, which will allow staff to focus more time and energy on meeting the needs of patients.
