Independents go digital

Aug. 10, 2010

Centricity Advance from GE Healthcare is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution that can enable small, independent clinical practices to go digital. The system offers a combination of EMR, practice management and patient-portal solutions. Physician practices can be up and running quickly, often completing implementation and training in under four weeks. Tutorials walk a clinician through the first use of its many features. Using their own secure password, patients can log into the Patient Self-Service Portal from anywhere to schedule appointments, request prescription refills and access billing statements, lab results and private messages from clinicians.
