Madison Center selects Webmedx

Aug. 10, 2010

Atlanta, GA (August 9, 2010) – Webmedx, a medical transcription service provider and supplier of speech recognition and analytics technology, today announced that Madison Center, a behavioral healthcare services provider in Indiana and Southwestern Michigan, is a new client. Madison Center began using Webmedx’s Web-based platform and U.S.-based medical transcription services in May and reports a $25,000 reduction in transcription costs within the first two months of the contract, according to Debra Jowers, director of revenue cycle.

Madison Center is a nine-clinic, two-hospital provider organization offering a full spectrum of behavioral healthcare services for adolescents and adults. Madison is currently being impacted by the state of Indiana’s MRO Program changes which became effective on July 1, 2010. Due to the MRO impact on billing, Jowers was looking for a platform and service provider that could help her organization through the transition and assist them in saving money now and into the future through speech recognition technology. Madison Center processes approximately 55,000 claims and their physicians dictate nearly 5,000 reports per month.
