Ingenix completes acquisition of Picis

Eden Prairie, Minn., August 23, 2010 – Ingenix has completed its acquisition of Picis. As announced on July 22, this acquisition combines “health intelligence” provided by Ingenix with the clinical work-flow solutions of Picis to increase efficiency and help optimize delivery of services in high acuity care areas of hospitals, which includes emergency departments, surgical suites and intensive care units.

This acquisition enables Picis to build on its market-leading solutions and analytics, and enables Ingenix to broaden its powerful global footprint in the hospital solutions market where the opportunities to derive results and achieve efficiencies through greater use of information technology are significant.
