MINNEAPOLIS, MN — March 17, 2011— Wolters Kluwer Health, a provider of information for healthcare professionals and students, announced today that Desert Sun Gastroenterology has selected its ProVation MD software for gastroenterology procedure documentation and coding.

ProVation MD, available for the full range of ASC specialties, replaces dictation and transcription and allows physicians to efficiently document procedures at the point of care. ProVation software produces complete, coding-ready and image-enhanced procedure notes that result in greater efficiency, increased profitability and clinician satisfaction.

Located in Tucson, Ariz., Desert Sun Gastroenterology is a medical and surgical center for the treatment of digestive and liver conditions. Its state-of-the-art endoscopy center offers colonoscopies and other endoscopic procedures on an outpatient basis.

“With more than 50 years of combined experience, the physicians at Desert Sun Gastroenterology are well-positioned to serve the GI needs of Tucson and the surrounding communities,” said Arvind Subramanian, CEO, Wolters Kluwer Health, clinical solutions division. “We are pleased that they have chosen ProVation MD for GI to streamline the ASC’s documentation and coding and advance quality and safety measures.”
