HFMA's 2013 MAP Award for Performance Improvement in Revenue Cycle winners announced

Chicago – August 13, 2013 – Today, the Healthcare Financial Management Association
(HFMA) announced this year’s winners of the MAP Award for Performance Improvement in
Revenue Cycle.

The MAP Award for Performance Improvement recognizes healthcare organizations that
demonstrate measurable improvement in MAP Keys – key performance indicators that set the
standard for revenue cycle excellence in the healthcare industry. This year's winners of the
Performance Improvement Award have shown how their targeted improvement initiatives have
improved financial performance.

Joseph J. Fifer, FHFMA, CPA, HFMA President and CEO, said, “Winners of the MAP Award for
Performance Improvement have demonstrated that they can do whatever it takes to move their
revenue cycle metrics. Their commitment and hard work are an inspiration to others.”

John Midolo, Vice President, Revenue Cycle, Rochester General Health System and winner of

The award recipients will be honored during a special presentation at HFMA's MAP Event,
October 27-29, 2013 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The MAP Award for Performance
