The New Hampshire General Court will consider several health IT bills in the 2014 session when it convenes on Wednesday, January 8, 2014.
Representative Emily Sandblade prefiled two bills relating to health IT.House Bill 1327 establishes a commission to review the security of data collected by the state of New Hampshire; the measure awaits consideration in the House Executive Departments and Administration Committee. House Bill 1328 requires that insurance exchange navigators be licensed by the insurance department. It also requires that insurance exchange navigators submit to a background check as a condition of licensure. That measure awaits consideration in the House Commerce and Consumer Affairs Committee.
Representative Gary Richardson prefiled House Bill 1535 which extends the report date of the committee established to study the resolution of barriers to the use of telehealth technology in New Hampshire. The measure awaits consideration in the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee.
All three of these measures will be officially introduced when the general court convenes, at which point they will be eligible for consideration in their respective committees of referral.
