WMMC and Cerner announce new healthcare information technology alignment

Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) and Cerner are furthering their relationship to manage the medical center’s information technology (IT) service delivery. The enhanced collaboration will help enable the health system to optimize resources, achieve efficiencies, and realize predictable technology costs while leveraging the latest capabilities and services in the industry.

As part of the alignment, Cerner will assume operational responsibilities and augment leadership resources for WMMC’s IT department. Cerner will continue to provide remote hosting, monitoring, and system performance capabilities to protect the medical center’s electronic health data and provide reliable availability of systems and position the organization for future growth and advancement.

As a part of the agreement, WMMC’s IT employees will all receive offers to become Cerner associates and continue to work onsite in Warrensburg. Cerner
