San Diego-headquartered BakBone Software has rolled out version 3.0 of its storage reporting and analysis software, NetVault: Report Manager. According to BakBone, the new product is updated with data management features for file-system archiving. NetVault: Report Manager integrates with the NetVault: Backup software program to provide a centralized view of multiple backup domains, status and media usage regardless of platform or application, the company touts. BakBone's NetVault: Report Manager version 3.0 is available for Windows, Linux, Solaris and Snap Guardian OS server operating environments.

Printer Palette

Lexington, Ky.-headquartered Lexmark International Inc., is adding some color, so to speak, with its new workgroup color laser printer series. The Lexmark C770 family includes the C770n and C772n color laser printers and the X772e color multifunction printer. According to the company, the printers provide healthcare facilities with cost-saving in-house printing options. Lexmark says hospitals can use the X772e to scan in patient data and print out wristbands that include a color photo of the patient, helping to reduce errors and make patient identification easier.

Feel Secure While Roaming

Arlington, Va.-headquartered Roam Secure has rolled out ActivMRC. According to Roam Secure, its new product is designed to support public health agencies with establishing and managing programs to respond to public health emergencies, including a pandemic influenza scenario or bioterror attack. The Web-based system is configurable for automating volunteer enrollment, managing volunteer training, enabling team management by team leaders, creating detailed reports, and communicating with volunteers during routine and emergency situations, the company reports. The system also includes GIS capabilities and can be used to create ID cards for volunteers.

Imagining Document Management

In an effort to provide competitive document management systems, Boca Raton, Fla.-headquartered Agilysys has added an e-mail archive module to its DataMagine product. The new DataMagine provides compliance, policy and discovery, and allows for e-mail searches and retrievals, useful for audits, the company claims. The product captures incoming, outgoing, and internal company e-mails and stores them in a separate location from the e-mail server.

Far From Obsolete, Fujifilm's Obliquus

The FDA has awarded Fujifilm Medical System USA Inc.'s Obliquus 3D Software with 510(k) clearance. Aiming to capture the attention of diagnostic radiology, the Stamford, Conn.-headquartered company's new product provides diagnostic Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP) and Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR). According to the company, Fuji's Obliquus product is designed to reduce facilities' requirements to integrate a third-party 3D solution for basic, commonly-used functions and works with Synapse version 3.1.1 and higher.
