AdvancedMd Acquired by Francisco Partners
Salt Lake City-based AdvancedMd Software Inc., a provider of Web-based medical practice management solutions, has been acquired by Francisco Partners, a technology-focused private equity firm based in San Francisco.
The CEO role will be assumed by John Trzeciak. Trzeciak is a healthcare advisor to Francisco Partners with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare IT, including recently serving as interim CEO of LYNX Medical Systems and Dairyland Healthcare Solutions.
DocuSys Picking Up Prompte
Mobile, Ala.-based DocuSys Inc., an anesthesia information management system and medication management system provider, is acquiring Prompte LLC, a Chicago-based software provider of early-stage surgery software.
Prompte's products — HealthQuestionnaire and PreOpPlanner — facilitate the collection of a patient's health history, identify the patient's surgical risk and produce instructions and testing requirements for the patient prior to surgery, according to the company. Through its prior partnership with Prompte, DocuSys uses the patient information collected by the Prompte solutions to pre-populate the DocuSys PreAnesthesia Evaluation module.
Standard Register and MedAssets Sign Agreement
Dayton, Ohio-based Standard Register, a provider of document and print management services for healthcare, signed an agreement with Alpharetta, Ga.-based MedAssets Supply Chain Systems to provide acute care facilities with assistance in streamlining document workflow and transitioning to EMRs.
The agreement will give MedAssets’ clients assistance in auditing, standardizing and streamlining documents and processes, addressing all document requirements including content, access and control, according to Standard Register.
Standard Register has had a 33-year relationship with MedAssets Supply Chain Systems, providing document management services and supplies.
