Orlando Health (Orlando, Fla.), a nine-hospital, not-for-profit health system, is implementing Montreal, Canada-based TECSYS’ warehouse and distribution management solutions to enable its recently adopted self-distribution model.

Deploying the solution will enable the staff at Orlando Health to efficiently manage hospital supplies and movement of inventory at its new distribution center, and to provide “just-in-time” delivery of products and supplies across the network, according to the company. The TECSYS software will be interfaced to the hospital management and patient information systems including Lawson software financial system, which the company says will allow full visibility of the organization’s supply chain operations, eliminating double entry of data and enabling more efficient logistics management.
