Harborview Medical Center (Seattle) is deploying DocuSys’ anesthesia information management system (AIMS) and medication management solutions to automate the documentation of anesthesia care and enhance the medication management processes in its perioperative environment.

The Center is also implementing DocuJect, a point-of-care intravenous drug monitoring device that utilizes digital imaging and bar code scanning to alert clinicians to potential adverse drug reactions, according to the Mobile, Ala.-based company.

Harborview is the only Level I adult and pediatric trauma center and regional burn center serving the four-state region of Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. It was recently designated a “Patient Safety Mentor Hospital” for other hospitals in the state.
