Alpharetta, Ga.-based McKesson rolled out a new practice management system. McKesson says the Horizon Practice Plus 12.0 is designed for hospital-employed and large to mid-sized physician practices.

This latest release features advanced scheduling and billing capabilities designed to streamline workflow and remove complexity from financial and administrative processes, it touts. Horizon Practice Plus received the Best in KLAS Award for Practice Management (26-100 physicians) in the 2009 Top 20 Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Professional Services report, with 100 percent of survey respondents indicating they would buy the solution again.
