The Bermuda Hospitals Board has introduced MEDHOST’s (Addison, Texas) EDIS software at its King Edward VII Memorial Hospital (KEMH) and Lamb Foggo Urgent Care Centre (UCC).

By eliminating manual, paper-based processes, the company says KEMH and the Lamb Foggo UCC gain benefits, including robust data and customizable reports that monitor key performance indicators, giving ED management a way to proactively identify and mitigate potential process breakdowns. Other MEDHOST features include a Patient Tracking module that offers real-time notifications about each patient’s status, an automatic Charge Capture feature that calculates charges as care is documented, and risk mitigation tools such as automatic allergy checking and drug-drug interaction alerts, the company touts.
