Adventist Health System (Orlando, Fla.), the largest not-for-profit Protestant health care organization in the U.S., has signed a five-year radiology informatics agreement with Agfa HealthCare, to provide PACS technology for all hospitals and outpatient centers of the Florida Division.
According to Agfa (Mortsel, Belgium), a provider of IT-enabled clinical workflow and diagnostic imaging solutions, the 35 million dollar agreement covers all 17 Adventist Health hospitals in the Florida Division, as well as its 7 associated Outpatient Centers and the centralized Data Center.
The agreement includes the delivery of Agfa HealthCare's DX-S units, CR 35-X and CR 85-X systems, MUSICA², IMPAX for orthopaedics, and archive solutions, says the company. Agfa contends Florida Hospital will also expand its Data Center, which will archive all diagnostic images for the Florida Division, including mammography and cardiology images.
