Dallas-based Baylor Health Care System has selected Nuance to provide its facilities with Dictaphone's iChart hosted transcription services, as well as Dictaphone's dictation, transcription and speech recognition solutions.

According to Nuance (Burlington, Mass.), a provider of speech and imaging solutions, the implementation will include multiple solutions spanning 12 facilities, and will affect the documentation process of nearly 3,800 physicians.

Baylor Health Care System will use Dictaphone's iChart hosted transcription solution as well as the Dictaphone Enterprise Workstation, PowerScribe and EXSpeech products, says Nuance. In addition, the company contends Baylor will be moving its outsourced transcription work to Dictaphone's Managed Services.
