MultiCare Health System, a four-hospital organization based in Tacoma, Wash., is deploying the HeartSuite Vericis solution from
Emageon (Birmingham, Ala.) to enable digital processing of cardiology PACS studies and cath/echo structured reporting for echocardiography.
The Vericis digital PACS and HeartSuite hemodynamics solution will be installed in four cath labs, including one in which Emageon’s Pediatric Echo IMS product will be added. According to Emageon, its bi-directional HIS interface will allow MultiCare’s scheduled studies, results and reports to be automatically uploaded to its EMR, which will help make data immediately available for clinician review and will trigger the billing process.
Multicare is an integrated health organization made up of four hospitals: Allenmore Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, and Tacoma General Hospital. The network also includes more than 40 primary and urgent care clinics, hospice and home health services, and other specialty services clinical areas.
