Geisinger Health System (Danville, Pa.) has entered an agreement with Netherlands-based  Royal Philips Electronics to launch an eICU program.
Geisinger Health System (Danville, Pa.) has entered an agreement with Netherlands-based Royal Philips Electronics to launch an eICU program.

According to the company, the eICU program combines early warning alerts and remote monitoring technology to connect off-site critical care specialists with intensive care unit (ICU) patients and their bedside care teams.

Serving more than two million residents throughout central and northeastern Pennsylvania, the physician-led organization is at the forefront of the country's rapidly emerging electronic health records movement.
