Geisinger to Launch eICU

Geisinger Health System (Danville, Pa.) has entered an agreement with Netherlands-based Royal Philips Electronics to launch an eICU program.

According to the company, the eICU program combines early warning alerts and remote monitoring technology to connect off-site critical care specialists with intensive care unit (ICU) patients and their bedside care teams.

Geisinger Health System is one of the nation’s largest integrated health services organizations. Serving more than two million residents throughout central and northeastern Pennsylvania, the physician-led organization is at the forefront of the country's rapidly emerging electronic health records movement.
