Largo, Md.-based Bartron Medical Imaging, Inc. (BMI), a provider of medical image analysis, has chosen Kazeon's Information Server IS1200-ECS to manage its patient information.

Mountain View, Calif.-based Kazeon, an information management company, states that its IS1200-ECS enables medical professionals to search, manage and secure medical images.

Kazeon indexes digital imaging and communications in medicine (DICOM) images that pass through BMI's MedSeg solution, collecting metadata about the digital image such as patient name, patient ID number, hospital location, file size and last access time. Radiologists and medical practitioners can search to locate any document or image related to a particular patient or case stored across hundreds of hospital server and storage devices, according to Kazeon.
