Cleveland Clinic's Harris named to AHIC Successor Board

C. Martin Harris, M.D., has been selected to join the board of the new American Health Information Community (AHIC) Successor, based in Washington.

C. Martin Harris, M.D., has been selected to join the board of the new American Health Information Community (AHIC) Successor, based in Washington. Harris is CIO and chairman of the information technology division at the Cleveland Clinic and is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS, Chicago) board of directors.

In this position, Harris, along with other members of the board, will work to define strategies for the organization to fulfill its mission to develop a unified approach in creating an effective, interoperable nationwide health information system in the United States, according to the organization.
