    San Francisco-based McKesson is introducing InterQual Audit Solutions, a suite of tools that is part of its RAC service portfolio designed to assists hospitals in preparing for RAC and other audits, as well as those seeking to improve ongoing process performance, says the company.

    According to McKesson, the clinical decision support software can benefit hospitals that require documentation to support the medical necessity of past services. It also enables users to perform reviews with criteria being used when a claim was generated, which will be beneficial when the CMS Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) program is rolled out in 2010.
