Foote Health System has selected InnerWireless (Richardson, Texas) to deploy its broadband wireless infrastructure, called Horizon, at its Jackson, Mich.-based 411-bed hospital.

According to InnerWireless, the facility will have wireless coverage for mission- and life-critical wireless services and devices including cellular phones, VoIP, 802.11 a/b/g and wireless medical telemetry service (WMTS) for monitoring of patient vital signs.

By integrating WMTS telemetry, InnerWireless says Foote Health can continuously monitor patient vital signs from anywhere in the facility from a centralized location.
