Sacred Heart Anesthesia Clinic (Springfield, Ore.), part of the seven-hospital PeaceHealth network based in Bellevue, Wash., has implemented a wireless real-time location system from Versus Technology, Inc. (Traverse City, Mich.).

In addition to identifying the location of patients, staff, and assets, Sacred Heart is utilizing the solution to reduce manual data entry through automation of room status, testing status, patient visit status, and wait time alerts.. The Clinic also plans to capture and time-stamp all milestones related to clinic patient visits to facilitate reporting on individual patients or aggregate day or month statistics, says the company.

The Clinic is the fourth PeaceHealth site to deploy the solution. PeaceHealth operates seven hospitals, medical groups, a chemical dependency program, healthcare joint ventures, and other services in southeast Alaska, northwest Washington, southwest Washington/northwest Oregon, Oregon’s Willamette Valley, and Oregon’s central coast.
