Virginia Imaging Center Gets New RIS/PACS Platform

Virginia Beach, Va.-headquartered MRI & CT Diagnostics has purchased a RIS//PACS from Carestream Health Inc. for its two outpatient imaging centers, According to the Rochester, N.Y. company, its product will provided the imaging center with increased functionality, such as electronic patient scheduling, and more productive reading.

Carestream says the Virginia imaging center’s exams will be captured digitally and transmitted to PACS for reading, distribution and storage, and that physicians will be able to order imaging exams online. The company also says that the final radiology reports will be available electronically to all authorized clinicians.

MRI & CT Diagnostics, which opened its doors nearly 20 years ago, offers Open MRI scanners, as well as extended weeknight and weekend office hours, it says.
